Description

This Sticky Honey Garlic Sausage Pasta Skillet is a bold and satisfying one-pan dinner, perfect for busy weeknights. Juicy sausage, tender pasta, and a sweet-and-savory honey garlic glaze come together in under 30 minutes for a flavorful, comforting meal everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne, rigatoni, or rotini)
  • 12 oz sausage (smoked, Italian, or chicken), sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup or 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup water or chicken broth
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped green onions or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned and crisp around the edges.

  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, just until fragrant.

  4. Stir in honey, soy sauce, ketchup or tomato paste, and water or broth. Let the sauce bubble and reduce for 3–4 minutes, until thickened and sticky.

  5. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated in sauce.

  6. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

  7. Garnish with green onions or parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use gluten-free pasta if needed; watch cook time carefully.
  • Try spicy sausage for extra kick or add chili garlic sauce to the glaze.
  • Stir in steamed broccoli, spinach, or bell peppers for added veggies.
  • Hoisin or teriyaki sauce works as a quick soy sauce substitute.
  • Use pre-cooked sausage for faster prep—just brown slightly for texture.
