Description

These Spicy Louisiana Voodoo Fries are crispy, cheesy, and smothered in a bold Cajun-style sauce that brings serious heat and flavor—perfect as an appetizer, party food, or late-night indulgence.

Ingredients

  • For the fries:
  • 1 bag frozen French fries (or homemade hand-cut fries)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
  • 12 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • For the Voodoo sauce:
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 12 tbsp hot sauce (Louisiana-style or preferred)
  • 1 tsp Creole mustard or Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Optional: squeeze of lemon juice
  • Toppings:
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • ½ cup cooked, crumbled chicken or beef (optional)
  • Pickled jalapeños, to taste
  • Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Bake or air-fry the fries according to package directions or until golden and crispy.
  • While hot, season the fries with Cajun seasoning.
  • In a bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients until smooth.
  • Arrange the fries on a serving dish or skillet. Drizzle the Voodoo sauce over the top.
  • Sprinkle with cheese, jalapeños, and any optional protein.
  • Broil for 1–2 minutes, just until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double-fry or air-fry the potatoes.
  • Sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 1 week.
  • Control spice level by adjusting hot sauce and jalapeño quantity.
  • Works great with tater totssweet potato fries, or potato wedges.
