Description

Spicy Cajun Chicken Fettuccine in Creamy Garlic Sauce is a bold, comforting pasta dish made with tender Cajun-seasoned chicken, fettuccine, and a rich garlic-Parmesan cream sauce. Perfect for a cozy weeknight meal or a pasta night with flair, this recipe delivers heat, depth, and creamy indulgence in every bite.

Ingredients

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Olive oil
  • Fettuccine pasta
  • Butter
  • Garlic, minced
  • Heavy cream
  • Chicken broth
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts generously with Cajun seasoning.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Set aside to rest, then slice.

  3. Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside (reserve some pasta water).

  4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).

  5. Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  6. Add Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

  7. Toss in cooked fettuccine. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.

  8. Top with sliced chicken. Garnish with red pepper flakes and fresh parsley. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Swap chicken for shrimp, salmon, or tofu.
  • Add smoked paprika to the sauce for deeper flavor.
  • Use half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Stir in spinach, mushrooms, or roasted red peppers for added veggies.
  • Adjust heat level by controlling the Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes.
