Description

Sheet Pan Sausage and Sweet Potatoes with Honey Garlic Sauce is a flavorful one-pan meal featuring roasted sausage, tender sweet potatoes, and a sticky-sweet garlic glaze. Perfect for a quick, hearty, and wholesome dinner.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz smoked or chicken sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • For the honey garlic sauce:
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a sheet pan with parchment or foil.
  2. Toss sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on sheet pan and roast for 15 minutes.
  3. Add sausage slices to the pan, toss with sweet potatoes, and roast for another 15 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Drizzle sauce over sausage and potatoes, toss gently, and return to oven for 5–10 minutes, until caramelized and glazed.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add vegetables like Brussels sprouts, red onion, or bell peppers for variety.
  • Use andouille sausage or smoked paprika for a spicier, smoky flavor.
  • Substitute sweet potatoes with butternut squash or carrots.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon or lime for brightness.
  • Serve over rice or quinoa for a more filling meal.
