Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit or pie dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni or other pizza toppings (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes to combine flavors.
- Press biscuit or pie dough into a greased pie dish, pressing slightly up the sides to form a crust.
- Spoon the beef mixture into the crust and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the top.
- Add pepperoni or other toppings if using.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest a few minutes before slicing and serving.
