Description

Olive Oil Bread Dip is a simple, elegant appetizer made with extra virgin olive oil, herbs, spices, and optional add-ins like balsamic vinegar and Parmesan—perfect for dipping crusty bread.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove fresh garlic, minced or grated
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt or kosher salt
  • 12 tsp balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (parsley, rosemary, or basil; optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour olive oil into a shallow dish or small bowl.
  2. Add garlic, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt.
  3. If using, swirl in balsamic vinegar for added depth.
  4. Stir gently and let sit for 5–10 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.
