Ingredients
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove fresh garlic, minced or grated
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1/4 tsp sea salt or kosher salt
- 1–2 tsp balsamic vinegar (optional)
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (parsley, rosemary, or basil; optional)
Instructions
- Pour olive oil into a shallow dish or small bowl.
- Add garlic, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt.
- If using, swirl in balsamic vinegar for added depth.
- Stir gently and let sit for 5–10 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.
- Top with grated Parmesan and fresh herbs just before serving if desired.
- Serve with warm crusty bread like baguette slices or ciabatta.
