Description

These Olive Garden Breadsticks are soft, buttery, and perfectly seasoned with garlic, bringing the beloved restaurant flavor to your home kitchen.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • For the topping:
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or garlic salt)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 7–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces, roll into logs, and place on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Cover loosely and let rise again for 20–30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake breadsticks for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While warm, brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and salt. Serve immediately.

  • Sprinkle with Parmesan or Italian seasoning before baking for extra flavor.
  • Mix shredded mozzarella into the dough or stuff with cheese for a cheesy version.
