Description
This Luxurious French Silk Ice Cream is rich, creamy, and packed with deep chocolate flavor—just like French silk pie but in frozen, no-churn form. Made without eggs or an ice cream maker, this indulgent dessert features smooth melted chocolate, whipped cream, and a hint of cocoa for a mousse-like texture you’ll crave again and again.
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream (cold)
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate, melted and cooled
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- Optional: ½ cup mini chocolate chips or shaved chocolate
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and the mixture is thick and fluffy.
-
In a separate bowl, stir together the sweetened condensed milk, melted chocolate, cocoa powder, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
-
Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until well blended, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
-
Fold in optional mini chocolate chips or shavings for added texture.
-
Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan or freezer-safe container and smooth the top.
-
Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until firm.
-
Let sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping and serving.
Notes
- Add a swirl of ganache or fudge sauce before freezing for extra decadence.
- Stir in a pinch of espresso powder for mocha flavor.
- Try white or milk chocolate for a lighter, sweeter version.
- Mix in crushed cookies or graham crackers for texture and contrast.
- Store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
