Description

This Luxurious French Silk Ice Cream is rich, creamy, and packed with deep chocolate flavor—just like French silk pie but in frozen, no-churn form. Made without eggs or an ice cream maker, this indulgent dessert features smooth melted chocolate, whipped cream, and a hint of cocoa for a mousse-like texture you’ll crave again and again.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (cold)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Optional: ½ cup mini chocolate chips or shaved chocolate

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and the mixture is thick and fluffy.

  2. In a separate bowl, stir together the sweetened condensed milk, melted chocolate, cocoa powder, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.

  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until well blended, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

  4. Fold in optional mini chocolate chips or shavings for added texture.

  5. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan or freezer-safe container and smooth the top.

  6. Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until firm.

  7. Let sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping and serving.

Notes

  • Add a swirl of ganache or fudge sauce before freezing for extra decadence.
  • Stir in a pinch of espresso powder for mocha flavor.
  • Try white or milk chocolate for a lighter, sweeter version.
  • Mix in crushed cookies or graham crackers for texture and contrast.
  • Store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
