Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce or Dijon mustard (optional)
- Fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add lemon juice, lemon zest, honey, and soy sauce or Dijon (if using). Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon glaze over it. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes until well coated.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.
Notes
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Substitute or add orange juice/zest for a deeper citrus flavor.
- Use bone-in thighs or drumsticks and adjust cooking time accordingly.
- Try oven-roasting the chicken with the glaze for a sticky finish.
