Description
Peach Lemonade is a bright, fruity beverage made with fresh peaches, lemon juice, and a simple syrup—perfectly sweet, tangy, and refreshing for hot summer days or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
- 3–4 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water (for syrup)
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 4–5 cups cold water (for dilution)
- Optional: mint leaves or peach slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, and 1 cup water.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 10–15 minutes, until peaches are soft and fragrant.
- Let the peach mixture cool slightly, then strain through a fine mesh sieve, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible.
- In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice and 4–5 cups of cold water.
- Stir in the peach syrup and mix well.
- Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve over ice with optional mint leaves or peach slices for garnish.
Notes
- Use canned or frozen peaches if fresh are unavailable.
- Adjust sugar to taste or add extra lemon juice for a tarter flavor.
- Add sparkling water or club soda for a fizzy version.
- Blend peaches into a puree instead of straining for a thicker drink.
- Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
