Description

Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is a decadent chocolate dessert that blends the richness of brownies with the sliceable form of a loaf cake. With a gooey fudge swirl, crackly top, and ultra-moist crumb, this chocolate lover’s dream is perfect served warm, with a scoop of ice cream or enjoyed all on its own.

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Baking powder
  • Salt
  • Granulated sugar
  • Brown sugar
  • Eggs
  • Unsalted butter, melted
  • Vanilla extract
  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
  • Hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In another bowl, combine sugars, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and sour cream. Mix until smooth.

  4. Stir wet ingredients into dry just until combined. Do not overmix.

  5. Fold in chocolate chips.

  6. Spoon half the batter into the pan. Drizzle half the fudge sauce over it. Repeat with remaining batter and fudge, then swirl gently with a knife.

  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.

  8. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Add chopped walnuts or pecans for crunch.
  • Mix in instant espresso powder for a mocha version.
  • Try with white or milk chocolate chips for a twist.
  • Serve warm with extra hot fudge or a scoop of ice cream.
  • Avoid overbaking to preserve the fudgy center.
