Grape Crush Cupcakes are a playful, fruity dessert made with grape soda for a nostalgic burst of flavor. These cupcakes feature soft, soda-infused cake and vibrant purple frosting, perfect for parties and fun occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup Grape Crush soda
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
- 3 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 2 tbsp reduced Grape Crush soda (for frosting)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
- Purple food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and Grape Crush soda, mixing until just combined.
- Divide batter evenly among liners, filling each 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- Simmer 1/2 cup Grape Crush soda until reduced to 2 tbsp, then cool.
- Beat butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar.
- Mix in reduced soda and vanilla. Add food coloring if desired.
- Pipe or spread frosting on cooled cupcakes. Decorate as desired.

- Add lemon zest to batter for a grape-lemon twist.
- Use white cake mix and grape soda as a shortcut.
- Stir grape extract into frosting for extra flavor.
