Ingredients
- 2 ribeye or filet mignon steaks
- 8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Season steaks with salt and pepper on both sides and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over high heat and add olive oil.
- Sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Return steaks to the skillet and spoon garlic butter over both steak and shrimp.
- Cook together briefly to meld flavors, about 1–2 minutes.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges, if desired.
Notes
- Swap shrimp for lobster tails for an upscale twist.
- Add a splash of white wine to the garlic butter for extra depth.
- Include red pepper flakes for a spicy version.
- Grill steak and shrimp for a smoky flavor.
- Store leftovers in the fridge up to 2 days and reheat gently in a skillet with butter.
- Avoid microwaving to keep shrimp tender.
