Garlic Butter Lobster Tails in Skillet Bliss is a decadent yet simple seafood dish where tender lobster tails are seared in a skillet and basted with rich, garlicky butter. It’s elegant, flavorful, and perfect for special occasions or a luxurious dinner at home.
Ingredients
- 2 lobster tails, thawed and shells split
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 tsp paprika (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Thaw lobster tails if frozen. Cut through top shell with kitchen shears to expose the meat, then lift it over the shell, leaving it attached at the base.
- Season lobster meat with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place lobster tails meat-side down and sear for 2–3 minutes until lightly browned.
- Flip the tails, reduce heat to medium-low, and add remaining butter and garlic.
- Baste lobster with garlic butter for 3–5 minutes until opaque and cooked through (internal temp 140°F / 60°C).
- Finish with lemon juice and sprinkle with parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Add white wine or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
- Swirl in cream at the end for a richer sauce.
- Use Dijon mustard in butter for a tangy twist.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, pasta, or crusty bread.
