- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 2–4 tbsp water (as needed)
For the garlic butter:
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in yogurt and olive oil to form a rough dough. Add water a tablespoon at a time if needed and knead until smooth.
- Let dough rest for 10–15 minutes. Divide into 4–6 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a 1/4-inch thick round or oval.

- Use ghee for an Indian-style twist.
- Add chili flakes to the butter for a spicy version.
- Bake at 425°F for 8–10 minutes instead of pan-frying if preferred.
- Freeze cooked flatbreads between parchment for future use.
