Description

Dolly’s Chicken and Stuffing Casserole is a classic comfort food dish made with creamy shredded chicken and buttery stuffing—easy to prepare and perfect for cozy weeknight dinners or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth, warm
  • 1 box (6 oz) seasoned stuffing mix
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, salt, and pepper until well combined. Spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine stuffing mix with melted butter and warm chicken broth. If using onion and celery, sauté them until soft and mix into stuffing.
  4. Spoon stuffing mixture evenly over the chicken layer.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  6. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
