Description

Crockpot Loaded Steak and Potato Bake is a hearty, all-in-one comfort meal featuring tender steak, seasoned potatoes, melty cheddar cheese, and all the classic baked potato toppings. Cooked low and slow in the crockpot, it’s an easy, flavorful dish perfect for busy days.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak or stew meat, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 2 lbs Russet or Yukon gold potatoes, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices crumbled
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Sour cream, for serving
  • Optional: chopped parsley, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss diced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Layer the seasoned potatoes in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Place steak pieces on top of the potatoes and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until steak is tender and potatoes are cooked through.
  5. About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle cheddar cheese. Cover again to let the cheese melt.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with sour cream and optional toppings.

Notes

  • Use sweet potatoes for a slightly sweeter twist.
  • Try mushrooms or bell peppers for added veggies.
  • Substitute pepper jack cheese for more heat.
  • Swap steak with rotisserie chicken or leftover roast beef.
  • Top with ranch dressing or BBQ sauce for extra flavor.
