Description

Crock Pot French Onion Meatballs are a rich, savory slow-cooked dish featuring frozen beef meatballs simmered in French onion soup and gravy, topped with melty cheese. Perfect for cozy dinners with minimal prep.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs frozen beef meatballs
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) French onion soup
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix or 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • 6 slices provolone or Swiss cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Place frozen meatballs into the bottom of the Crock Pot.
  2. Pour in the French onion soup, sprinkle in the gravy mix or add beef broth, and add Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Stir everything together until combined.
  4. Layer sliced onion on top if using, then cover with the lid.
  5. Cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until meatballs are heated through and sauce is rich.
  6. Place cheese slices over the meatballs and let them melt before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot over mashed potatoes, noodles, rice, or bread.

Notes

  • Swap in turkey or chicken meatballs for a lighter version.
  • Add mushrooms or green beans for extra vegetables.
