Description

This Crispy Doritos-Crusted Chicken Stuffed with Cream Cheese and Shredded Chicken is a bold and cheesy comfort food dinner with a serious crunch. Juicy chicken breasts are filled with a creamy, savory chicken and cheese filling, then coated in crushed Doritos for a crunchy, flavor-packed crust. It’s a fun, easy dinner the whole family will love.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken (or rotisserie)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 cups crushed Doritos (nacho cheese or flavor of choice)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Cooking spray or olive oil for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.

  2. Carefully cut a pocket into each chicken breast without slicing all the way through.

  3. In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  4. Stuff each chicken breast with the cream cheese filling and gently press edges to seal.

  5. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with crushed Doritos.

  6. Dredge each stuffed chicken breast in flour, then dip in egg, and coat completely in crushed Doritos.

  7. Place on baking sheet and lightly spray with cooking spray.

  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until chicken is fully cooked and coating is golden and crispy.

Notes

  • Use flavored cream cheese for added variety (jalapeño, garlic herb, etc.)
  • Cool Ranch or Spicy Nacho Doritos work great for flavor twists.
  • Rotisserie chicken makes this even faster.
  • For a buffalo version, mix buffalo sauce into the filling and serve with ranch.
  • Air fryer method: Cook at 375°F for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway for extra crisp.
