Description

Ingredients

  • 810 fresh or canned pineapple rings, drained and patted dry
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, or sunflower)
  • Optional toppings: cinnamon sugar, honey, coconut flakes

Instructions

  1. Slice fresh pineapple into rings and remove the core if needed. Pat dry thoroughly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Gradually whisk in sparkling water until a smooth, thick batter forms.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F.
  5. Dip each pineapple ring into the batter, letting excess drip off.
  6. Fry in batches, 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
