Description

These Crispy, Garlicky, Cheesy Baked Parmesan Fries are the perfect homemade side dish—golden and crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and loaded with garlic, Parmesan, and bold flavor. Baked, not fried, they’re a lighter take on classic fries that are totally irresistible.


Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes, cut into thin fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley
  • Optional seasonings: ½ tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, pinch of chili flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Soak cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes. Drain and pat completely dry.
  • Toss fries with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.
  • Arrange fries in a single layer on the baking sheet, ensuring they’re not overcrowded.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  • Immediately toss baked fries with Parmesan cheese.
