Description

These Crispy Air Fryer Grilled Cheese Hot Dogs combine two comfort food classics in one irresistible bite. With golden, buttery bread, melty cheese, and juicy hot dogs, they’re quick to make, kid-approved, and perfect for lunch, dinner, or game day snacking.

Ingredients

  • 4 hot dogs (pre-cooked or cooked ahead)
  • 4 slices of sandwich bread or hot dog buns
  • 4 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • Butter or mayonnaise (for spreading on bread)
  • Optional toppings: mustard, ketchup, pickles, sliced jalapeño

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Lay out bread or buns and place cheese slices on one side.

  3. Place a cooked hot dog on top of the cheese.

  4. Fold bread around the hot dog; spread butter or mayo on the outside.

  5. Secure with toothpicks if needed and place in the air fryer basket.

  6. Cook for 5–7 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

  7. Serve hot with optional toppings or dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Swap cheese types for different flavors: try mozzarella, pepper jack, or Swiss.
  • Add jalapeños, hot sauce, or garlic butter for bold variations.
  • For a low-carb version, skip the bread and wrap the hot dog in cheese only.
  • To reheat, use the air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes to restore crispness.
