Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes (in oil, drained and chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and let rest before slicing.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic and sun-dried tomatoes for 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain.
- Add pasta to the sauce, toss to coat, and return sliced chicken to the pan. Simmer for 1–2 minutes to combine flavors.
- Garnish with red pepper flakes and chopped basil or parsley. Serve warm.
Notes
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
- Use penne, fettuccine, or rigatoni if desired.
- Swap heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Add shredded mozzarella for a cheesier sauce.
- Reheat with a splash of broth or cream to loosen the sauce.
