Description
Creamy Garlic Salmon Pasta Skillet is a rich and comforting one-pan meal featuring tender salmon, a smooth garlic cream sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta — ideal for an elegant yet easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin removed)
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or linguine)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Season salmon with salt and pepper. In a hot skillet with olive oil, sear salmon for 3–4 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove and flake into bite-sized pieces.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add heavy cream and simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and a splash of pasta water. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked pasta and salmon to the skillet. Gently toss to coat in sauce.
- Finish with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes, if using. Serve warm.
Notes
- Substitute shrimp or chicken for salmon.
- Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
- Use coconut cream and nutritional yeast for a dairy-free version.
- Reheat gently in a skillet with cream or milk; avoid microwave.
