Description

This Creamy Garlic Pasta is rich, velvety, and loaded with bold garlic flavor. Made with simple pantry staples like cream, Parmesan, and pasta, it’s a quick comfort food favorite that comes together in just 20 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights or cozy dinners at home!

Ingredients

  • 6 oz pasta of choice (fettuccine, spaghetti, or linguine)
  • 12 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
  • Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley, lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in Parmesan until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  7. Toss in cooked pasta and add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
  8. Garnish with parsley and lemon zest, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add cooked chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, or spinach for a heartier dish.
  • Use half-and-half or milk for a lighter version (add a little flour or cheese to help thicken).
  • Best served fresh but can be stored and gently reheated with a splash of cream or milk.
  • Avoid overheating or the sauce may separate.
