Ingredients
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or thyme for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add orzo and toast for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Pour in the broth, bring to a simmer, and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let simmer for 1 more minute to thicken slightly.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.

- Use half-and-half for a lighter version.
