Description

Creamy Beef and Shells in Garlic Parmesan Sauce is a one-pan comfort dish made with tender pasta shells, seasoned ground beef, and a rich garlic-parmesan cream sauce. It’s perfect for busy weeknights and guaranteed to satisfy.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz medium pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute to develop flavor.
  5. Reduce heat and add heavy cream and milk. Stir until smooth and simmering.
  6. Add parmesan cheese and stir until melted into the sauce.
  7. Return pasta to skillet, toss to coat, and simmer for a couple of minutes to thicken.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
  • Use ground turkey or Italian sausage as alternatives to beef.
  • Mix in spinach or peas for added vegetables.
  • Stir in mozzarella or provolone for extra cheesiness.
