Description

Creamy Beef and Bowtie Pasta is a quick and easy weeknight dinner featuring savory ground beef, tender bowtie pasta, and a rich, cheesy cream sauce. This one-skillet pasta recipe is hearty, comforting, and packed with flavor—perfect for busy nights, picky eaters, and anyone craving a creamy, satisfying meal the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in salted water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. Sauté diced onion until soft, about 3–4 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.

  3. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.

  4. Pour in the beef broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any browned bits.

  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in cream, cream cheese, and Parmesan. Let simmer for 3–5 minutes until smooth and creamy.

  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well combined and coated with sauce.

  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan, parsley, or red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add spinach, peas, or mushrooms for extra veggies.
  • Substitute Parmesan with shredded mozzarella or cheddar for a cheesier version.
  • For more flavor, stir in a splash of Worcestershire sauce or a spoonful of tomato paste.
  • Reheat with a splash of cream or broth to loosen the sauce.
