Description

Copycat Texas Roadhouse Salmon is a savory, slightly sweet grilled fish dish that mimics the restaurant favorite with a rich, bold glaze and tender, flaky texture. It’s easy to make at home and perfect for a quick yet impressive meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place salmon in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour marinade over it. Marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and oil the grates.
  4. Remove salmon from marinade and grill for 4–5 minutes per side, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork and has nice grill marks.
  5. Serve with dried parsley and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Add honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce for a lower sodium version.
  • This marinade also works well for shrimp or chicken.
  • Marinate no longer than 2 hours to prevent the fish from breaking down.
  • Delicious served with rice, mashed potatoes, or green beans.
