Description
Copycat Texas Roadhouse Salmon is a savory, slightly sweet grilled fish dish that mimics the restaurant favorite with a rich, bold glaze and tender, flaky texture. It’s easy to make at home and perfect for a quick yet impressive meal.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried parsley (optional for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place salmon in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour marinade over it. Marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and oil the grates.
- Remove salmon from marinade and grill for 4–5 minutes per side, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork and has nice grill marks.
- Serve with dried parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
- Add honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness.
- Use low-sodium soy sauce for a lower sodium version.
- This marinade also works well for shrimp or chicken.
- Marinate no longer than 2 hours to prevent the fish from breaking down.
- Delicious served with rice, mashed potatoes, or green beans.
