Description

Cinnamon Roll Cake combines the gooey swirls and sweet glaze of a cinnamon roll with the ease of a soft, buttery sheet cake. This cozy treat is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert and is ready in under an hour.

Ingredients

  • For the Cake Batter:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • For the Cinnamon Swirl:
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • For the Glaze:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter. Mix until smooth and combined.
  4. Pour batter into prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and softened butter into a paste.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of cinnamon mixture over the batter and swirl with a knife.
