Description

Chocolate Pecan Ooey Gooey Butter Cake is an ultra-rich dessert with a fudgy chocolate base, creamy gooey filling, and crunchy pecans—a sweet, decadent treat that’s easy to make and perfect for indulgent occasions.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cake mix, 1 egg, and melted butter until a thick dough forms. Press into the bottom of the prepared dish to form the crust.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add remaining 2 eggs, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. Mix until creamy and well combined.
  4. Fold in chopped pecans and pour the filling over the crust. Spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, until edges are set but center is still slightly gooey.
  6. Cool completely before slicing into squares. Serve at room temperature or slightly warm.
