Ingredients
- 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½–1 tsp red chili flakes or 1 fresh chili, minced (adjust to taste)
- Zest of 1 lime
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: 1 tsp honey or brown sugar
- Optional garnish: chopped fresh cilantro or green onions
Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and lime zest.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil or butter.
- Add garlic and chili flakes; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the pan and sear for 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
- Squeeze lime juice over the shrimp and toss to coat.
- Garnish with cilantro or green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust chili quantity based on your spice preference.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of soy sauce, fish sauce, or a pinch of smoked paprika.
