Description

Chicken with Boursin Sauce with Garlic and Fine Herbs is a creamy, savory skillet dish featuring juicy chicken smothered in a rich sauce made from Boursin cheese. This easy chicken recipe is quick, comforting, and perfect for busy weeknights or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 (5.2 oz) package Boursin cheese (Garlic & Fine Herbs)
  • ¼ cup heavy cream (optional, for extra richness)
  • Fresh parsley or thyme, for garnish

Instructions

  • Season chicken on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
  • Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Stir in the Boursin cheese and let it melt completely, forming a smooth sauce. Stir in cream, if using, for extra richness.
  • Return chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over top. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for more texture and flavor.
  • Swap chicken with pork medallions or salmon for variety.
  • Stir in a splash of white wine for extra depth in the sauce.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta to soak up the sauce.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently with a splash of broth.
