Description

Cajun Hot Pocket Sliders with Shrimp & Cheese are spicy, cheesy handheld treats filled with Cajun-seasoned shrimp and melty cheese, all wrapped in golden, flaky dough. Perfect for parties, appetizers, or fun weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb small shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 oz cream cheese or 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or pepper jack cheese
  • 1 can crescent roll dough, biscuit dough, or pizza dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Chopped parsley or green onions (optional, for garnish)
  • Optional: hot sauce, Dijon mustard, or mayo for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning. Sauté in olive oil or butter with garlic for 2–3 minutes per side until just cooked. Remove and cool slightly.
  3. Roll out dough and cut into squares or circles.
  4. Mix cooked shrimp with cream cheese or mozzarella and shredded cheddar or pepper jack.
  5. Spoon filling onto dough pieces. Fold over and seal edges with a fork.
  6. Place on baking sheet and brush tops with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Garnish with parsley or green onions. Serve warm with optional dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Add cooked bacon or bell peppers for extra flavor.
  • Use sour cream or hot sauce in the filling for added creaminess or heat.
  • Use pre-cooked shrimp to save time—just thaw and dry well.
  • Make vegetarian with mushrooms or blackened tofu instead of shrimp.
  • Freeze before or after baking for an easy meal later.
