Description

This Beef and Bowtie Pasta with Alfredo Sauce is a creamy, hearty one-pan meal made with tender ground beef, farfalle pasta, and a rich homemade Alfredo sauce. It’s a comforting, easy dinner recipe that comes together in under 40 minutes—perfect for busy weeknights, family meals, or make-ahead leftovers.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Chopped fresh parsley or basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook bowtie pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion until softened, then add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.

  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  4. Reduce heat to low. Stir in butter and heavy cream. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.

  5. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until sauce is smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning if using.

  6. Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly. Simmer for 2 more minutes to meld flavors.

  7. Garnish with parsley or basil and serve hot.

Notes

  • Swap ground beef with turkey, sausage, or a meatless alternative.
  • Add spinach, mushrooms, or peas for extra veggies.
  • For extra cheesiness, mix in shredded mozzarella or Italian blend cheese.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a bit of spice.
  • Substitute pasta shapes like penne, rigatoni, or shells if needed.
