Ingredients
- For the dough:
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed

- 3/4 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk or cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 oz cream cheese (optional, for richer glaze)
Instructions
- Activate yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar; let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, egg, vanilla, and yeast mixture.
- Add flour and salt gradually to form a soft dough; knead for 8 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread with softened butter.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle evenly over dough.
- Roll up tightly from the long side and slice into 12 rolls.
- Arrange rolls in greased baking dish; cover and rise again for 30–45 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
