Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 1/2 cups diced apples (peeled and cored)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tbsp milk or apple cider (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.
- Stir wet ingredients into dry just until combined, then fold in diced apples.
- Drop mounds of batter onto the baking sheet using a spoon or cookie scoop, spacing evenly.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
- While baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk or apple cider for glaze.
- Let fritters cool slightly, then drizzle or dip them in glaze while warm.
Notes
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.
- Use nutmeg or cloves for extra spice.
- Swap glaze for cinnamon sugar topping for a different finish.
- Use apple cider or maple syrup in the glaze for a fall twist.
