Description

Baked Apple Fritters are a cozy, cinnamon-spiced treat filled with juicy apple chunks and baked instead of fried for a lighter, easier version. Finished with a sweet glaze, these fritters are perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a comforting snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups diced apples (peeled and cored)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 23 tbsp milk or apple cider (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Stir wet ingredients into dry just until combined, then fold in diced apples.
  5. Drop mounds of batter onto the baking sheet using a spoon or cookie scoop, spacing evenly.
  6. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
  7. While baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk or apple cider for glaze.
  8. Let fritters cool slightly, then drizzle or dip them in glaze while warm.

Notes

  • Add chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.
  • Use nutmeg or cloves for extra spice.
  • Swap glaze for cinnamon sugar topping for a different finish.
  • Use apple cider or maple syrup in the glaze for a fall twist.
  • Store at room temp for 2 days or refrigerate up to 4; reheat to refresh texture.
