Description

Air Fryer Sweet Chili Chicken and Brussels Sprouts is a quick, bold-flavored meal made with crispy Brussels sprouts, juicy chicken, and a sticky sweet-spicy glaze. Perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tsp soy sauce or coconut aminos (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toss Brussels sprouts with 1/2 tbsp olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss chicken with remaining oil and seasonings in a separate bowl.
  3. Air fry Brussels sprouts for 5 minutes.
  4. Add chicken to the basket, shake to combine, and cook for 10–12 more minutes, shaking halfway, until chicken is cooked and sprouts are crisp.
  5. While cooking, heat sweet chili sauce with soy sauce and red pepper flakes in a small pan or microwave.
  6. Toss cooked chicken and Brussels sprouts with the warmed sauce.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if using, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use broccoli, cauliflower, or bell peppers as vegetable alternatives.
  • Make it low-sugar with a homemade sweet chili sauce using honey or sugar-free sweetener.
  • Serve with rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
  • For spicier flavor, add sriracha or extra red pepper flakes.
  • Reheat leftovers in the air fryer to keep them crispy.
