Description
Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar French Toast Sticks are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and coated in sweet cinnamon sugar. They’re an easy and fun breakfast perfect for dipping, made fast in the air fryer with minimal mess.
Ingredients
- 4 slices thick-cut bread (Texas toast or brioche)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (divided)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- Cooking spray (optional)
Instructions
- Cut each slice of bread into 3–4 sticks.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
- Dip each bread stick in the egg mixture, coating all sides, and shake off excess.
- Spray air fryer basket and arrange sticks in a single layer.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
- Mix sugar with remaining 1 tsp cinnamon in a bowl.
- While warm, brush sticks with melted butter and toss in cinnamon sugar.
- Serve with maple syrup or fruit for dipping.
Notes
- Use almond or oat milk for a dairy-free version.
- Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra spice.
- Substitute coconut sugar for a twist.
- Make stuffed versions with cream cheese between slices.
- Reheat in air fryer to retain crispiness; avoid overcrowding the basket.
